Al Southall

Al’s journey into construction started in high school, building a 1,200 sq ft rancher as part of a Grade 12 woodwork program. The experience stuck with him—but after graduation, he took a detour into banking before returning to the trade that first captured his attention. He began his carpentry apprenticeship in 1988, went out on his own by 1993, and has been building ever since.

With over 37 years in the industry, Al brings a wealth of knowledge across all areas of construction. He’s a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter known for his ability to visualize complex builds, solve problems on the fly, and deliver work that’s honest, organized, and built to last. His strong faith and work ethic guide every project—treating each home as if it were his own.Outside of work, Al’s most at home on the water or in the mountains—waterskiing, ATVing, playing hockey, and spending time with family. Friendly, focused, and grounded in his values, he’s the kind of builder who leads by doing—and does it right.
